Our crew on the job
Most railing installs in the GTA are done as a sideline by general contractors who'll happily do your bathroom and your fence in the same week. The result is a fence-and-railing market where most of the workmanship is mediocre, the spec is whatever the contractor's wholesaler stocks that month, and the warranty is one year of "if it falls down, we'll come fix it."
We chose to specialize. Aluminum and glass railings, fences, and gates — that's the entire business. We know the OBC SB-13 guard code by heart, we know which municipalities require 4' pool fences vs 5', we know which extruder produces the cleanest powder-coat finish, and we know how 316 stainless behaves in 15 years of GTA freeze-thaw because we have installs that are 15 years old that we can drive past.
The 5-year workmanship warranty (vs the industry-standard 1-year) is how we underwrite the specialization. It's not a marketing claim — it's the only warranty term that actually matters once the manufacturer warranty on the frame and finish is in place.
Railings & Glass is the dedicated railings, fences, and glass division of Aluma Contracting Ltd — a full-service Mississauga renovation contractor that has been running interior and exterior projects across the GTA since the early 2010s.
The reason we spun off the railings work into its own brand: the calculator-driven, instant-quote approach we wanted to build for railings doesn't fit the slower, more consultative process for kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. So you get the same crews, same insurance, same WSIB coverage, same office on Davand Drive — under a name and a website built specifically around the railings buying experience.
